Munster Rugby have confirmed the signing of Connacht out-half Ian Keatley for next season and secured new deals for eleven members of their first team squad.

23-year old out-half Keatley will join the province at the end of the season on a two-year deal, following some impressive performances for the Westerners in the last couple of seasons. Keatley operates primarily at number ten, but is a versatile performer and has also played at centre and full-back for Eric Elwood’s side. With Paul Warwick departing for Stade Francais at the end of the season, Keatley will be a useful addition to Tony McGahan’s squad.

Former All-Black winger Doug Howlett has signed on until the end of next season, while Munster also secured the futures of the likes of Ian Nagle, Darragh Hurley and Mike Sherry.

Dave Foley, Peter O’Mahony, Paddy Butler, Tommy O’Donnell, Conor Murray, Scott Deasy and Felix Jones have also signed new deals with the province.
