Munster edge past Scarlets thanks to Paul Warwick

Paul Warwick was the star of the show as Munster edged past Scarlets at Musgrave Park.

Warwick and Rhys Priestland twice traded penalties, before Munsters Australian out-half went over just before the break to put his team 13-6 ahead.

Just when they thought that would be the half-time score, however, Jonathan Edwards went over to level things up.

A Priestland penalty put Scarlets ahead six minutes into the second half, before two quick fire Munster trys put them firmly in the driving seat.

Sam Tuitupou and Barry Murphy were the two scorers, but yet again their Welsh opponents refused to lie down.

An Edwards try and Priestland conversion put them within four points, while a Priestland penalty ensured a tense ending to the match.

Munster just about hung on, however, and remain top of the Magners League table.
