Now an excuse to get her bra off – to donate to a breast cancer awareness walk

You can be an accommodating helper in getting your missus to take off her bra… to donate to a charity awareness for breast cancer

We’re kind, nice guys right? That’s why we want to take the bras off as many ladies as possible – for charity of course. The Kinsale Pink Ribbon Walk Committee are looking for bras to decorate The Pier Road in Kinsale for the 10 km walk/run on Sunday March 3.

So how do you help? By removing a bra from your missus (have manners, ask first) and posting it to Maria O’Mahony c/o Finishing Services, 71 Main Street, Kinsale, Co, Cork or drop off at the collection point at Finishing Services Kinsale. You can even try and get rid of that manky old grey one she has – they’ll take any size, shape, colour or state of wear.

The Pink Ribbon Walk is aiming to raise awareness of the importance of being breast aware and that early detection of breast cancer is key to cure.

This is the second Kinsale Ribbon Walk and to support the event, local shops and restaurants will ‘go pink’ for the weekend, while the walkers and runners will wear pink t-shirts.

So far over 400 men and women have registered to take part in the event, fundraising for Action Breast Cancer, a programme of the Irish Cancer Society. And its not too late to join up if you’re interested. Go to www.pinkribbonwalk.ie for more information on registering.

The Pink Ribbon Walk is a national fundraising initiative which organises sponsored charity walks in locations around the country in aid of Action Breast Cancer, a programme of the Irish Cancer Society. The objective is to empower individuals and communities to increase breast cancer awareness, promote healthy living and raise funds for Action Breast Cancer through a fun and rewarding experience.
