Paul Giamatti to play Rhino in Spiderman 2

Sideways star Paul Giamatti is set to take on Rhino role in Spiderman 2

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Paul Giamatti will be joining the cast in the new Spiderman 2 movie. The role he is looking at is Rhino, a villain that wears a super strength suit which also gives him super speed. The Rhino’s real name is Aleksei Mikhailovich Sytsevich so Giamatti will probably need to perfect his Russian accent.

Felicity Jones (Like Crazy) is also in talks to join the movie, although it has not been confirmed what role she will portray yet. Currently the movie has already cast Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained) as villain Electro, Shailene Woodley (The Descendants) as Mary Jane Watson and Dane DeHaan (Lawless) as Spiderman’s best friend Harry Osborne.

The newcomers join Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy. Giamatti should find himself familiar in a role as a baddie, seeing as he just played super-smarmy music agent Paul Gill in Rock of Ages. But lets face it, who wouldn't want to rip off Tom Cruise?
