The papers don’t always get it right with their predicted line-ups, but we’re certain that at least one player named in the Liverpool team in the Irish Times today won’t face Sunderland tomorrow.
Dirk Kuyt had his limitations as a footballer, but he was a big hit with the Anfield Faithful during his six years on Merseyside before heading off to Fenerbahce last year.
Whoever was in charge of the team sheets published in the Irish Times today obviously still pines for Kuyt working tirelessly down the right side for the Reds as his name features in a predicted line-up for the clash with Sunderland tomorrow in what appears to be a wing-back role in front of the back three.
It’s an innocent mistake of course and we’re prone to making the odd one ourselves; but watch out for this guy in the Stadium of Light tomorrow afternoon just in case they were onto something...
