In a bizarre bit of traffic news, AA Roadwatch have had to warn Dublin drivers about a loose camel in the Charlestown area of Finglas.
We’re no stranger to ‘loose animal’ warnings from AA Roadwatch but we can’t recall a ‘loose camel’ warning being issued before.
But today, the traffic monitors had to issue a warning after a camel was spotted near the Charlestown shopping centre just off the M50.
The warning, which is below, was quickly followed by a class picture by a passing motorist, Brendan Hurley.
DUB: Reports of camels loose in Charlestown, take care in the area particularly on North Rd & St Margaret’s Rd http://t.co/nqdTLmlPQj #AARW

We suspect a nearby circus is the owner of the beast, who we hope gets back to his lodgings safe and sound.
UPDATE: The camels (yes, there was more than one on the loose) have now been recaptured and the roads of north Dublin are safe again.
