And the former Marseille man wasn’t impressed with the Arsenal fans either.
In his 30 appearances for the club last year, Joey Barton grew very fond of life in Marseille. So fond in fact that he hasn’t ruled out a return to the French club at some point.
For now though, Barton is plying his trade for QPR and last night he did his bit to endear himself further to the French fans by attending the Arsenal/Marseilles game last night. And not only that, he watched it with the away fans.
Pictures appeared on Twitter of Barton with the visiting fans at the Emirates and the midfielder managed to get onto Twitter himself to have a pop at the atmosphere at ‘Highbury’.
