After an incident in the game last night between Barcelona and Villareal in which Dani Alves had a banana thrown at him
and he gave a brilliant response, the condemnation has been very quick to arrive.
The appalling moment highlights the continuing problem with racism in the Spanish game, but it has also been a rallying point for all the players, who have come out in support of Alves, and the way in which he dealt with the situation. None more so than Neymar, his Barcelona team-mate, who posted this brilliant image to Instagram and Twitter last night:
Alves' response has already garnered a whole load of appreciation from all corners for the cool and calm way in which he reacted, while Neymar has added to the voices condemning the act with a picture that speaks a thousand words.
