Clare’s All Ireland final hero is still getting fan mail, even if the address is a little off.
This time last year, Shane O’Donnell was virtually unknown outside of Clare GAA circles. But scoring a hat-trick in an All-Ireland final aged just 19 as your county wins Liam MacCarthy for the first time in 16 years will change your level of fame dramatically.
Haven spoken to O’Donnell after the All-Ireland we can confirm he is a very level headed young fella who won’t let all the attention go to his head, and based on his latest tweet, that attention hasn’t died down yet either.
The UCC student is still getting fan mail and even if the address leaves out a few vital details, the good folks at An Post know exactly where to go with letters like this.
