Pic: Someone has put up a massive banner welcoming Louis van Gaal to Manchester

That old Carlos Tevez sign is re appropriated once again.

By this time next week, we will almost have the complete first round of games from the opening weekend of the Premier League in the books. As always, in the week leading up to the big kick off optimism is high among fans of all stripes, and it seems it is very high indeed around Manchester city centre. Somebody has posted a banner welcoming new Manchester United gaffer Louis van Gaal to the city, using the now infamous Manchester City sign to greet Carlos Tevez' arrival at the Etihad as its template.

We're not sure the phrase 'Vanchester' will catch on, but it will be interesting to see how this latest incarnation of the sign is photoshopped, depending on how the season goes at Old Trafford.
