This might be the first time we’ve ever heard of a ‘cup away’ kit, but it’s pretty nice to be fair.
City released images of their new kit on Twitter this evening and, if it does exactly what it says on the tin, we could see it in action as early as Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, although the fact that City’s home kit doesn’t clash with Bayern’s could mean we have to wait.

In any case, the fact that it’s closer to purple than any other colour will divide opinion (and judging by the reaction on social media, it already has) but we have to say that, on first impressions at least, we like what we see.
