In eight mad minutes, a snowstorm caused Galatasaray v Juventus to be called off in Istanbul tonight.
One of the biggest games on the final night of group games for half the Champions League was Juventus’ visit to Istanbul to play Galatasaray. A win for the home side would secure them second spot over Juve, while a draw would be enough for the Italians to nab second spot behind runaway leader of Group B, Real Madrid.
Unfortunately, we will have to wait to see who the second team out of B will be because the game was abandoned due to a snowstorm in Turkey.
From a clear, but cold night after 23 minutes, the game was called to halt after 31 minutes when the lines on the pitch could no longer be seen.
