The All-Ireland winning Clare side took part in an A v B match in aid of Sixmilebridge last night but there was only one man the female punters present wanted to see.
Not since Jason Sherlock burst to prominence with the Dublin footballers in the mid-90s has a GAA player attracted the boy-band level of fan worship that Clare’s 19-year old hat-trick hero Shane O’Donnell has since the All-Ireland Final on Saturday.
The amount of attention from the fairer sex O’Donnell will have over the winter has been something of a national obsession since Saturday and if the crowds in Sixmilebridge last night are anything to go by, O’Donnell won’t be short of female suitors over the coming months.
Id say the Clare CB had to get @BarackObama to send in the US Army to get Shane O’Donnell out of Ennis alive tonight. pic.twitter.com/YmrvbnTR19

Strap yourself in Shane, you’ve a busy time of it ahead.
