As Aaron Hernandez edges closer to a life behind bars, his former teams are looking to forget he ever existed
Aaron Hernandez has, since the investigation began in to the murder cases in which he is involved, had his name almost constantly in the headlines. However, his former teams are quick to move to forget that he was ever there.
Yesterday, his former coach Bill Belichick gave his first press conference on the matter since the news broke and spoke about how the whole franchise felt in the wake of the events surrounding the Aaron Hernandez murder charges, managing to avoid mentioning Hernandez’s name at all.
Today, another low moment for the former NFL star occurred as his All-American brick was removed from his old university in Florida as a result of the charges leveled against him.

This has been part of a larger move on behalf of the Gators to more or less remove Hernandez from their history, which has included taking his pictures down from their locker room and team area, and today getting rid of this honorary brick.
They’re not alone either, as a whole slew of companies have been quick to cut his image too. The Pro Football Hall of Fame removed an award-winning photograph of Hernandez from their walls, and EA have stated that he won’t appear in this year’s edition of the Madden franchise either, according to ESPN.
