With Ryan Giggs about to pass a landmark in his career, his 1000th appearance, Sir Alex Ferguson presented him with a commemorative shirt, only for Evra to ruin the moment

Ryan Giggs has been playing at the top level for as long as the Premier League has existed, and will surely feature against Real Madrid this week as he marks an amazing achievement in getting his 1000th appearance for Manchester United.

To honour that special connection and his time at the club, Ryan Giggs was presented with a commemorative shirt with the number 23 on the back earlier this weekend to mark the fact that he's scored in 23 consecutive seasons in the league.

What should have been a lovely moment however was slightly ruined by Patrice Evra in the background taking the term “touching moment” a bit too literally.
