Picture: What a volcanic eruption looks like from space

That man Chris Hadfield is at it again, this time capturing what Mount Etna looks like when it is erupting.

We like to think that Commander Chris Hadfield only takes pictures of Ireland but the Canadian astronaut takes lots of snaps of lots of places.

He went through a Scotland phase earlier this week but the eruption of Europe’s most famous volcano, Sicily’s Mount Etna, captured his attention today.

The volcano has been spewing smoke, ash and lava for about a week now and this shot by @Cmdr_Hadfield shows that in very dramatic fashion.
