Sligo Rovers have an uphill battle on their hands, as they lost the home leg of their tie against Molde
The summer of bad results for League of Ireland clubs has continued tonight as Molde defeated Sligo Rovers at the Showgrounds, thanks to a goal from Daniel Chima Chukwu, which gives the Norwegian side a slender 0-1 win to take back home.
By no means is it curtains for Sligo, who put in a decent showing, and had Molde rattled at stages in the game with a spirited performance. If they produce a similar display in the second leg, there’s no reason to think that they couldn’t get a result.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has obviously been a big draw for this game, given the fact that he’s somewhat of a Manchester United legend, and he was snapped with a few United supporters who were eager to show that they were big fans earlier this week.

Sligo’s support gave them a good boost, and pushed them on as the second half wore on, and will surely travel in numbers to support the Bit o’ Red as they travel to the Aker Stadion for the second leg next Tuesday.
