Sam Sodje saw red for Portsmouth on Saturday after hitting an opponent in the nether regions. Not just once, but twice for good measure.

Oldham overcame Portsmouth 1-0, but the main talking point of the game occurred in the 50th minute when the Pompey defender for taking matters into his own hands against the match winner Jose Baxter.

After making the contact the first time, Baxter went to cover himself, but it was not enough to stop a second dig from Sodje.

He was shown the red card, though the referee escaped similar action from the Nigerian international.

Caretaker Pompey boss Guy Whittingham is under pressure with the struggling club, but it was his defender who has beaten him to the sack.
