Poulter wins Hong Kong Open

Ian Poulter carded a final round of 67 to pip Simon Dyson and Matteo Manassero by one shot in the HK Open.

The Englishman bogeyed his final hole, as well as the third, but three birdies and an eagle were enough for him to take his second victory of the year.

Simon Dyson carded a fantastic final round of 65, but came up just short, tying with Matteo Manassero for second place.

The Italian teenager shot up the leaderboard with the card of the day – a magnificent eight-under par 62.

Graeme McDowell could only manage a two-under par round of 68, and so had to settle for fifth place.

Rory McIlroy finished in sixth place, four shots behind Poulter – who now moves into the World top ten.
