Robbie Keane is the 15th richest footballer in the world

There's gold in them there Hollywood hills for Ireland's Robbie Keane, as he places high on the list of richest footballers.

We all know Robbie Keane has made a few moves to different clubs which has seen him earn a nice chunk of profit, but we didn't know just how much money he had in the bank.

It turns out Robbie is worth an estimated €40 million, which isn't a bad aul haul for the Irish captain it has to be said. His new pay packet in LA has also really moved Robbie...to a bigger house! He recently sold his Malibu beach house to Spice Girl Mel B and has moved to a different property.

According to The Independent, Robbie is now richer than a few of the Premier League's biggest stars, including the highly paid John Terry and Frank Lampard of Chelsea, as well as Liverpool's Steven Gerrard.

Unsurprisingly, David Bekcham tops the list, even despite the fact that he's currently playing for free at Paris Saint-Germain, with a whopping €200 million in the bank.

We understand now why Robbie didn't seem to care that much about that 'unidentified fan' incident a few months back, he's loaded and anonymous in LA, life probably doesn't get much better than that.

Damien Duff also appeared in the top 50 list - he's worth about €21 million - while the usual suspects Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi fill out the top five, along with Kaka and Ronaldinho.
