Neil Robertson has advanced to the final of the World Snooker Championships after defeating Ali Carter 17-12 at the Crucible this afternoon.
Robertson led Carter 15-9 overnight and needed only two frames to seal victory. Carter was determined not to give in without a fight, however and took three of the first four frames in this afternoon’ s session to pull it back to 16-12.
The World number nine claimed the first frame of the mid-session interval to finish it and will now face the winner of Grame Dott and Mark Selby in tomorrow’s final.
