Ronaldo is living large at Match Against Poverty after-dinner party

If you're going to host a Match Against Poverty football game with a star-studded cast, make sure that you've got enough supplies for Brazilian superstar Ronaldo.

If you’re going to host a Match Against Poverty football game with a star-studded cast, make sure that you’ve got enough supplies for Brazilian superstar Ronaldo.

Though early in his career Brazilian legend Ronaldo was compared to the likes of Pele, these days uttering his name to football fans will bring the puzzled response: “[Cristiano] Ronaldo or fat Ronaldo?

If anything, the former Barcelona and AC Milan’s incredible achievements (double World Cup winner, three-times World Player of the Year) are perhaps even more impressive when you consider that he has always been a “fully figured” football star.

Ever since retiring from the game last year with Brazilian side Corinthians, Ronaldo has since proved that his insatiable appetite for goalscoring could only superceded by his actual appetite for… everything else. If you think we’re being unfair then please take a look at the above shot of the former superstar and you’ll see the error of your ways.

The dinner got a sizable thumbs up from Ronny

Ronny was recently snapped attending the After Match Dinner of the ‘Match against Poverty’ at the Restaurant ‘Das weisse Haus’  Hamburg, Germany and as you can see, he clearly enjoyed his meal. Yet did he show up for the football or the dinner?

Here’s Ronaldo and chef Patrick Voeltz, who probably has had work cut out providing the feed

Though Ronaldo chose a slimming black ensemble, we can’t say it had the desired effect, especially as he was snapped just after the dinner itself.

So while Ronaldo will always be remembered as one of the greatest Brazilian superstars, his waistline is in danger of becoming even more famous than the man himself.
