Roy Keane was back home in his native Cork and decided to check in on his former side Cobh Ramblers last night.

The combative midfielder began his career with Ramblers back in the 1989/90 season and paid a visit to St. Colman’s Park last night as the home side entertained Wexford Youths.

Possibly inspired by the presence of their former hero, Cobh enjoyed a 3-0 victory on the night to move four points clear of Salthill Devon at the foot of the table and back within touching distance of Finn Harps, with Conor Meades grabbing two goals before his move to Waterford.

Some of the away supporters managed to grab Keano for a pic, who looked to be in fine spirits.

And no wonder he was in such a positive frame of mind, he didn’t have Adrian Chiles pestering him with ridiculous questions for a change!
