Roy Keane slams the FA

Roy Keane has hit out at the English FA for arranging a string of international fixtures in the hope of bringing the World Cup 2018 to England.

The Ireland and Manchester United player turned Ipswich Town manager believes that overseas trips to play games by England were ill judged.

"They reckoned they were playing games in places like Trinidad to get votes," he said.

"But it just goes to show that you can't be dragging your players half way round the world to play in poxy friendly matches.

"What rewards did it get them? Two votes, and one of them was their own.

"I felt they would have a good chance but they haven't got it and now they need to move on.

"England cannot keep complaining... they need to get over it, nobody has died."
