Saturday Warm Up Tracks: Stereophonics, Frank Turner and Time is a Thief

As it’s the weekend before Paddy’s Day, you would almost be forgiven for taking it easy, but that would be boring as fuc*. We’re here with our Warm Up Tracks to give you that kick up the hole and send you on your way.

Stereophonics – Thousand Trees

We preferred their earlier stuff because we’re so cool. In fact we like to pretend ‘Performances and Cocktails’ was the last album they made, but in fact it’s not, at all. There’s been loads more, including ‘Graffiti on the Train’ which was released this week and which the band will undoubtedly be showcasing this evening in Dublin’s Olympia Theatre.

Time is a Thief - Years in a second

We just love this band, we really do. If you’ve been a regular visitor to the greatest playlist on the internet (this one), then you will know how good these Cork lads are.  The best part? They just keep delivering, they really do. Here is their latest offering, which is again, fantastic.

Frank Turner

We’re pretty sure Frank Turner was just here supporting Dropkick Murphy’s in Vicar Street, so we guess he just really likes Ireland and Ireland likes him. Well if you weren’t at the Dropkick Murphy’s gig, you’ve got another chance as Frank Turner will be back in The Academy with his band the ‘The Sleeping Souls’ on May 11th.
