Comedian and actor Seth Rogen has had some serious career highlights since he started off as a stand up comedian in his teens. Rogen moved from his home in Vancouver, Canada to Los Angeles after dropping out of high school, but he’s definitely got the smarts.

Rogen first did stand up at the early age of 13, and eventually moved in to TV and film, starting with a role in the cult show Freaks and Geeks with James Franco and Jason Segel.

From there, he had small parts on Donnie Darko, Dawsons Creek (might want to keep that one quiet), Anchorman and The 40 Year Old Virgin before getting a lead opposite the gorgeous Katherine Heigl on Knocked Up in 2007. Whether playing it funny or straight, Rogen always delivers. We take a look at his best moments and funniest scenes.

The 40 Year Old Virgin

Here’s Rogen as a smooth ladies man where uses his skills to teach the socially inept Steve Carell how to talk to women. We trust him on this one.

Knocked Up

Rogen goes on a road trip to Las Vegas with Paul Rudd to escape their crazy ladies and on the way have a 'You're so gay' sparring match... we can't decide who won but love the reference to The 40 Year Old Virgin, a movie both actors were in.

Pineapple Express

Seth plays a stoner who witnesses a corrupt murder with his drug dealer friend James Franco. He turns up at his girlfriend's house for dinner, bloody, dirty and stoned, much to her parents' distaste.

Funny People

Rogen plays a struggling stand-up comedian who gets hired as a helper/writer to Adam Sandler, a famous comedian who is dying. Rogen manages to be an excellent banter partner with Sandler, while still playing a sincere and caring lad. In this scene, the pressure of Sandler's inevitable death gets too much for him and he breaks down in a restaurant.

The Guilt Trip

Rogen plays an inventor who is worried about his mum (Barbara Streisand) being lonely so invites her on a cross-country trip with him, which he quickly begins to regret. We can relate as we all have those moments when our Mam's embarrass us.
