The constant Twitter abuse finally got to the new Roma left-back…
Ashley Cole has been labelled as one of the bad boys of football for a very long time now and he’s probably received more abuse than any other player (bar John Terry) in the last decade.
His move to Serie A side Roma this summer will see him escape some of the abuse from the the terraces but the internet works perfectly in Rome so getting away from Twitter is a little bit harder.
A lot of people were surprised that Cole chose to join Roma after leaving Chelsea and some suggested it was for a big pay day. The 33-year-old responded to those folks this evening…
