The new Amazing Spiderman sequel adds yet another quality actor to its cast – Chris Cooper

The sequel of The Amazing Spiderman has already cast a host of stars including Andrew Garfield as Spiderman, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacey, Jamie Foxx as Electro, Sally Field as Aunt May and Paul Giamatti as The Rhino.
Now the production has announced the addition of Oscar winner Chris Cooper to play Norman Osborne, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Previously Willem Dafoe took the role, converting into the Green Goblin. Osborne will play dad to Harry (Dane DeHaan), Peter Parker’s best friend. Norman starts out as a role model to Parker before making his transition to Goblin form.
Cooper won an Oscar for Adaptation in 2002 alongside Meryl Streep and Nicholas Cage. Directed by Marc Webb, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will open nationwide on May 2, 2014.
