It seems a bit ridiculous that a man who has scored 393 in 512 games at the top level still needs to prove anything to anyone but according to some people Lionel Messi needs to win the World Cup single-handedly with Argentina to be considered up there with Diego Maradona and Pele. To be fair, the Barcelona man has yet to set a World Cup alight but he's started this one pretty well after he helped his side to a 2-1 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina last night. A late goal by Bosnia made it squeaky bum time around the streets of Buenos Aires but Argentina got the win and have something to build on going forward. One of the most noticeable things in the World Cup so far is that all the big names are performing. Messi got off the mark last night while Robin Van Persie, Arjen Robben, Neymar, Mario Balotelli have all hit the back of the net and France striker Karim Benzema joined that illustrious list last night. The Real Madrid man banged in two goals as Les Bleus beat Honduras 3-0 in Group E. Benzema slotted home a penalty and he also smashed this home to seal the win... What of JOEpan... They're still licking their wounds after the 2-1 defeat to Ivory Coast on Sunday morning and to be honest, we haven't slept a wink since with the despair we suffered, as we saw our heroes fall... People say Ireland have the best fans in the world and we agree but JOEpan have the most responsible fans in the world and they proved it after the match the other night.
