When Toy Story star Buzz Lightyear first uttered his catchphrase "To infinity and beyond", we doubt he ever imagined he'd end up stuck in somebody's rectum.
Sadly that was the fate of a 12-inch Karate Action Buzz Lightyear doll, just one of 100 bizarre X-ray shots to feature in a new book entitled 'Stuck Up'.
Doctors that evidently take a lax approach to the concept of doctor-patient confidentiality helped provide a compilation of X-ray that show various items stuck inside of people, such as a cassette tape, reading glasses and an iPod.
According to one of the three authors of the book, Dr Marty Sindhian, "Younger people are more likely to swallow objects, or stick them in their nose or ears. They will put everything in their mouth.
On the subject of the some of the more bizarre items, co-author Dr Rich Dreben added: "Sometimes patients tell us that they were doing some type of household chore in the nude, when they 'fell' or tripped' or 'jumped into bed' and 'landed on the object'. Whatever their excuse, we still feel sorry for whoever was the Toy Story fan that ended up with their own Buzz Light-rear.
