Problems with a chicken salad, more tungsten throwing and a cracking Denzel Washington flick are on the gogglebox tonight.
Main Event: Masterchef, BBC1, 8pm
The king of food programmes is back and a bit like their singing and talent reality cousins, it’s the hopeless cases that make this show entertaining. Tonight the contestants have to recreate a chicken and crab noodle salad, without a recipe. Needless to say, not everyone gets the hang of it.
Sporting Pick: Premier League Darts, Sky Sports 1, 7pm
The roadshow moves on to Cardiff this week. This is week seven, meaning there are just two weeks to go until the relegation kicks in. That means there is huge pressure on the two men in the drop zone, Wes Newton and Adrian Lewis tonight. Poor old Wes has to play Phil Taylor too. At the top, James Wade faces the man at the top Raymond van Barneveld.
Movie Pick: Training Day, ITV 4, 22.35pm
Denzel Washington as at his sleazy best as rookie cop Ethan Hawke is shown the ropes of how the drug business really works in LA, and how the cops are not exactly clean either. Just a great cop movie.
