Transfer Talk: Lukaku to be sold in the summer, Jose eyes Cavani and Schmeichel could sign for Manchester United

Kasper, that is.

Everybody loves Romelu Lukaku. Everybody except Jose, that is.

The Chelsea striker has had two highly prolific loan spells at both West Brom and Everton but Jose Mourinho will offload him permanently in the summer in order to facilitate a bid for Edinson Cavani.

Cavani is frustrated at being played out of position by Paris Saint Germain and the Mirror claim that the Blues will come in with a bid of around £50m to secure his services, because the last time they paid that particular amount for a striker things went just swimmingly.

Back to Lukaku, who could stay (or move back to) London if Arsenal and Spurs follow up on their interest, while the 20-year-old is also attracting interest from Madrid, with Atletico lurking.

This, however, is January and so back to the deals for the here and the now. West Ham achieved arguably their biggest double coup since Mascherano/Tevez by signing both Antonio Nocerino and Marco Borriello on loan until the end of the season from AC Milan and Roma respectively.

Manchester City are set to offer Blaise Matuidi £8m of Sheikh Mansour’s pocket change to join them from PSG, according to The Sun, who also claim that Kasper Schmeichel is a SHOCK summer transfer target for Manchester United.

The Mail claim that City, United and Chelsea will duke it out for the signing of Luke Shaw this week; Liverpool are in for Spanish wunderkind Saul Niguez; Arsenal could seal the signing of Julian Draxler as soon as Monday; David Moyes has been told by the Glazers to keep spending after securing Juan Mata; Michael Laudrup is heading for the Swansea exit door after falling out with chairman Huw Jenkins; Loic Remy is refusing to sign a permanent deal with Newcastle in the hope that something better comes along.
