An experimental Dutch side looked to be condemning the Italians to a sixth straight friendly defeat, but an injury time goal from Marco Veratti salvaged an unlikely draw for Cesare Prandelli’s team.

And if you thought Mario Balotelli was the biggest space cadet in the stadium, you thought wrong. Two men dressed in spacesuits gladly took their seats in the crowd and the extra padding was nearly called for when Balotelli lashed the ball in frustration shortly before being substituted in the second half.

They were part of a Lynx marketing ploy and caught the attention of viewers, which is just what the brand had hoped for.
