Unhappy beer drinkers in the US have filed a $5 million lawsuit against Anheuser-Busch after what they claim is watered-down beer.
By Declan Whooley
While some would argue that Budweiser, one of the 10 Anheuser-Busch beers that is involved in the claim, is hardly the strongest tasting beer out there, Bud enthusiasts feel that the product has not been the same since the American company merged with the Belgian-Brazilian InBev in 2008, to form the world's largest alcohol producer.
“Our information comes from former employees at Anheuser-Busch, who have informed us that, as a matter of corporate practice, all of their products mentioned (in the lawsuit) are watered down,” lead lawyer Josh Boxer said.
The company, naturally, have claimed that the allegations are entirely false, but rumours of both parties meeting up to discuss the issue over a cold brewski are a little wide of the mark.
