If we were to dip into our well of football clichés, we would say that this 30-yard free-kick from the Moroccan League ‘stayed hit’.
The eyes of most football fans would have been fixed on the Champions League last night and although we were treated to great goals in both games, none of them were as good as this effort by Ahmed Chagou in what we’re sure was a cracking encounter between Difaa El Jadida and Moghreb Tetouan.
Having been awarded a free-kick around 30 yards from goal Chagou let fly with a rocket of an effort that seemed to increase in both speed and elevation the closer it got to goal before smashing off the underside of the crossbar and into the net.
No stopping that.
