Maximilian Beister scored this howitzer for Hamburg against Koln this evening. Great name, even better goal.
With Crystal Palace and West Ham the only game on the Premier League menu football fans wouldn’t have been expecting much in the way of exciting activity this evening, but thankfully German football saved the day thanks to this beauty by Maximilian Beister in Hamburg’s victory over Koln in the German cup.
Long-range volleys struck with power are always great to watch, but the fact that Beister had to run back towards his own goal before making a sweet as a nut connection with the ball from the edge of the box and slamming it into the far corner makes it even more special.
As Andy Gray might say: “Tik a boo san.”
