Ain’t no stopping that, we’re afraid.
Having only declared for Belgium in April the Manchester United youngster was something of a surprise inclusion in Marc Wilmot’s World Cup squad, although it could also be an indicator that he was promised that he would be going to Brazil when he decided to pledge his future to Belgium instead of the 50 or so other countries he was eligible to play for.
As we saw last season, however, there’s no doubting the teenager’s talent and he showed as much in Belgium training earlier this week with a rasper of a half-volley past Thibaut Courtois and into the top corner that no ‘keeper in the world would have kept out.
Strike.
