Barcelona went a little goal crazy during their victory over Santos to claim the Joan Gamper Trophy last night and this effort from Adriano was the pick of the bunch.
Pre-season friendly it may have been, but anyone watching Barcelona last night would have witnessed the damage they are capable of doing if they hit the heights in the season ahead.
Neymar and Manchester United target Cesc Fabregas started on the bench but Santos were no match for the Catalan giants, who won 8-0 thanks to goals from Lionel Messi, Alexis Sanchez, Pedro, two from Fabregas, Adriano, Jean-Marie Dongou and an own goal at the Nou Camp.
Adriano’s goal, Barca’s seventh of the night, was the pick of the bunch as he cut in from the left-hand side and unleashed a peach of an effort off his right foot that seemed to increase his speed the closer it got to goal before nestling in the far corner.
New manager and new season but same old Barca it seems; they’re going to take some beating in Spain and beyond in the upcoming campaign.
