It’s not just the Swansea first team that like to play a style of football that’s easy on the eye.
Since promotion to the Premier League the season before last, Swansea City have won a lot of admirers for their possession-based, attractive style of football, a style that has seen the Welsh side comfortably establish themselves in the top flight and took them to the League Cup title last season, a trophy that earned them a place in the Europa League in this campaign.
That style of football is obviously something that is encouraged right through all age levels of the club, as was evident in a quite brilliant team goal scored by the under-18 side in a clash against their Leeds counterparts recently.
All 11 players touched the ball in a move that lasted just short of two minutes and included 32 passes and regardless of the fact that a lot of those passes took place in their own half and the lack of pressure applied by the opposition, it’s still a brilliant goal and must be brilliant to watch for the coaches who work relentlessly on this style of play day in, day out.
Class.
