Video: All of the historic highlights from Ireland’s momentous victory over New Zealand in the Women’s Rugby World Cup

COYGIG!

Seeing is believing. Check it out.

In case you were sleeping under a rock yesterday evening, 1) why the HELL are you are you sleeping under a rock? And 2) did you hear that Ireland beat New Zealand 17 -14 in the Women’s Rugby World Cup in a truly historic victory?

Here at JOE HQ we’re still all coming to terms with the magnificent result as the girls in green defeated their Kiwi counterparts in France. It was the first time since 1991 that the Black Ferns had lost a game at the Women’s Rugby World Cup and only their second defeat in the competition overall.

The Irish athletes heroically put their bodies on the line for the full 80 mins and, aside from a snarky dig at the Irish mens’ side, the Kiwis took their deserved defeat on the chin. And in the head. And on the torso. And in the back. And wherever else the Irish ladies decided to bash them.

In case you did miss the game last night, worry not, as the IRB have now uploaded the fantastic highlights footage from the match. We could watch this again and again and again and, to be fair, we probably will…
