Video: Arsenal players singing Arsenal chants to create a buzz for the FA Cup Final

We’ve heard better singing voices, but you can’t doubt the enthusiasm of (most of) the Arsenal players here…

We’ve heard better singing voices, but you can’t doubt the enthusiasm of (most of) the Arsenal players here…

As has tended to happen to the Gunners in recent years, the end of the Premier League season has proved to be a bit of a damp squib as although Champions League qualification has been secured again, it could have been a whole lot better given the amount of time Arsene Wenger’s men spent on top of the table throughout the season.

As well as providing consolation for the disappointing finish this year, the upcoming FA Cup Final will also provide Arsenal with the chance to win a first trophy in nine years and the recently established Arsenal YouTube channel were doing their best to create a bit of a buzz by getting some of the first team squad to sing some of the chants that will be heard around Wembley on the big day.

Per Mertesacker, Carl Jenkinson, Tomas Rosicky, Laurent Koscielny, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mathieu Flamini, Bacary Sagna and Thomas Vermaelen all sang along to ‘She wore a yellow ribbon’ and ‘Wembley’, even if some (Mertesacker and Oxlade-Chamberlain) were more enthusiastic than others (Sagna and Vermaelen) as the club announced details of a special members’ screening of the game in the Emirates Stadium

Will they be singing them so heartily after the final against Hull on May 17? After nearly a decade without a trophy, Arsenal fans will certainly hope so.
