They take their football seriously in Greece and fans of both PAOK and Olympiakos take clashes between the two sides particularly seriously whenever they meet.

Last night, they squared up in the second leg of the Greek semi-final, or at least they did eventually after the kick-off was delayed due to an insane flare display in the confines of the Toumba stadium in Thessaloniki and the presence of dead fish on the Olympiakos subs’ bench, which had been put there by PAOK fans and had to be removed prior to kick-off.

When you see the effect that the flare display had on visibility, it might come as a surprise to learn that the game went ahead at all, but after two red cards and a host of incidents that required 15 minutes stoppage time at the end of the second half, PAOK eventually progressed to the final on away goals.

Man stuff Ted.
