If you’ve ever played FIFA, Pro Evolution Soccer, the vintage Sensible Soccer or indeed any type of football computer game, then you’re a bare-faced liar if you don’t admit to trying to take on the entire opposition and score straight from kick-off, normally out of anger in reaction to conceding a goal yourself.
It rarely happens in actual football matches – because it usually never works – but Elliott Durell of Hednesford Town managed to pull it off against Bradford Park Avenue in a Conference North clash in recent days.
The terrible state of the pitch and the presence of multiple opposition defenders didn’t stop Durell from executing a mazy dribble through the heart of the Bradford Park Avenue defence before sending an accomplished finish to the bottom corner and fulfilling the dreams of anyone who’s ever played a football game on the computer in the process.
