Man City coasted to a 5-0 victory over Barnsley in the Cup today, but David Silva proved even some of the best players can get it wrong.
By Declan Whooley
In truth this was a non-contest and City were three goals to the good at half-time. Carlos Tevez drove his team forward with a hat-trick, putting behind him a turbulent week, while Silva himself got the fifth goal of the game, but it was a ‘tekkers’ fail in the first half which made us feel better about our own ability.
The Spaniard is undoubtedly one of the most gifted players in England, but got his angles all wrong in the 20th minute to hit himself in the face with the ball.
And that was about the only thing that went wrong from a City point of view.
Hat-tip to 101greatgoals.
