The GAA today launched a programme to encourage some of the finest exponents of the small ball game to highlight their hurling tekkers.

Freestyle Hurling is a joint GAA/GPA initiative aimed at promoting the game of hurling across the world by showing off some specialised skills. And some well-known faces were involved in the promotional video to get the juices flowing.

Limerick hurler Declan Hannon, Kilkenny sharp-shooter Richie Hogan, Paul Sheehan of Down and Clare camogie player Susan Vaughan have signed up to be ambassadors of Freestyle Hurling, and also showed they are dab hands at the art themselves.

If you think you are as good if not better than the players themselves, then the rewards are pretty good. As well as tickets to the All-Ireland final next month, the winner will also secure an exclusive opportunity to travel on the All-Stars trip to China later in the year.
