You may have already seen pictures of how the floods affected parts of Cork last night; if not this video will give you an idea of what they had to put up with.
Due to the incessant rain which you can probably still hear bucketing down outside, low lying areas of Cork were badly affected by severe flooding, with Blackpool village appearing to bear the brunt of the awful conditions.
Pictures of the floods surfaced on Twitter last night and the video above gives you a greater idea of what residents in the area had to put up with, with numerous shops and houses affected.
Unfortunately this isn’t the first time Blackpool has been hit by severe weather conditions; flash floods also caused havoc in the area last June.
Transport services have been disrupted across the country due to the adverse weather so if you are heading anywhere this weekend, make sure to check with the relevant travel provider before you leave.
Also, with the rain showing little sign of stopping for now at least the roads will be increasingly dangerous as a result, so take care behind the wheel this weekend.
