Video: For the day that’s in it, here’s AC Milan destroying Barcelona in 1994

It was one of the all-time great teams putting on a show for the ages; the 1994 Champions League final win by AC Milan over Barcelona still looks great.

In the San Siro tonight, we really don’t expect AC Milan to even beat Barcelona, let alone win 4-0. In fact, the odds on a 4-0 home win are 500/1 at your local bookies.

But for any fans who remember the great team that Fabio Capello had at his disposal 19 years ago (Panucci, Maldini, Donadoni, Desailly, Boban, Savicevic, Massoro) then this game will always spring to mind when these two sides meet.

Barca weren’t too bad back then either, with Romario, Koeman and Stoichkov in their ranks but the Italians destroyed them in Athens.
