Liverpool get their Champions League campaign underway later this evening when they face Ludogorets at Anfield, and we’re certain that one of their former players will be watching with great interest.
The likeable Danish defender, Daniel Agger, established himself as a cult hero at Anfield thanks to his tough, no-nonsense style, combined with his undoubted ability to pass a ball. JOE was very surprised when he announced his departure to his hometown club Brondby, but it seems that the local Danish fans have welcomed their returning hero with gusto.
Unfortunately for Agger, his new side lost 2-0 to Randers, but we’re fairly sure that he will never forget this greeting during his warm up in the 29,000 Brondby Stadion.
