Trey Johnson will not forget his buzzer-beating basket in a long, long time. Unfortunately for the Oklahama player, his winning basket was scored in the wrong end.

Hugo High School were one point up on Millwood in a school’s basketball game on Wednesday with just 3.7 seconds left to play, and crucially had possession.

Johnson got his bearings all wrong and made a dash towards the basket, scoring a lay-up, only to his horror to discover it was at the wrong end.

“Without a doubt, that's the toughest locker room I've ever had to talk to,” Hugo coach Darnell Shanklin said afterwards.

A loud voice in the video can be heard simply saying “He’s stupid" for one of the costliest own-baskets we have seen in a while.
