Video: Hilarious Didier Drogba dive somehow earns him a penalty

Just like the old days, it's a beautiful site to see Didier Drogba flying through the air performing a laughable dive.

Didier Drogba's move to the Turkish league seems to have the momentum of a runaway freight train as he proves incredibly popular, but he showed the darker side of his character with this risible dive tonight.

Unfortunately for the Genclerbirligi players who clearly saw the hilarious flop, the referee immediately pointed to the spot, adding another highlight to what hasn't been a great week for Turkish referees anyway.

However, Drogba must have not wanted to profit from the ill-gotten penalty and absolutely blazed this one a mile over the bar, straight into the stands.

Afterwards, he does what we'd all do having embarrassed ourselves in a stadium full of people, which is to blame the scuffed up penalty spot, as he kicks a lump out of to the sarcastic applause of the defender standing next to him.
